Welcome @ Trees of Tomorrow

This website follows a small group of young Ghanaians who planted trees in Ghana.
You will meet young Ghanaians building on their world of tomorrow. At the same time, you will follow the ‘Trees of Tomorrow’ that contribute in the battle against deforestation, as also in Ghana deforestation has huge impact.

This is the idea
Young Ghanaians receive an amount of trees (for example cacao, mango or teak trees). They decide where it is best to plant. The trees have to serve a sustainable goal. This can be a village, religious community, farmers hit by illegal logging, refugees, widows, or fisherwomen who can use a bit of extra income.

This project supports a sustainable world for tomorrow by planting trees, and you can see this grow. Trees for Tomorrow also shows how young Ghanaians from completely different cultural and social backgrounds are working on their future.
